Here is our film poster creating adobe photoshop cs4, it took a lot of time but after several tutorials, I managed to complete it. It contains several traditional conventions of a movie poster such as a tagline, credits block, images that show part of a story, actors names and titles.

A movie poster for example is advertisement for a film, it is meant to be eye catching a tell part of a story. The conventions of poster tend to vary but there are some essential conventions, that are necessary, they are as follows.

• Bold colours are required to stand out, sometimes dark colours are used but only really to compliment bright flames e.t.c.
• Actors names are also required as type-casted actors can be the main convention of a film itself.
• A tag line is required to pull your audience, it can also be related to the genre of the film.
• A credit block is required by the MPAA guidelines.
• A picture, it can also relate to the genre and is the centre piece of the poster.
